The AiSAL platform, available through aisal.ai, is operated by AFG Innovations Group L.L.C ("AFG", "we", "us", or "our").

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, store and disclose information in connection with the AiSAL platform, website, avatars, demonstrations, embeddable widgets, APIs, integrations and related services (collectively, the "Service").

This Policy should be read together with the AiSAL Terms of Service.

1. Who We Are

AFG Innovations Group L.L.C, Commercial Registration No. 247455, State of Qatar, operates AiSAL.

AiSAL provides AI-powered conversational avatar and engagement technology that may be used directly through AiSAL or embedded within websites and digital services operated by our business clients.

Depending on how AiSAL is used, AFG may process information for its own purposes or on behalf of a business client. Where AiSAL is deployed by another organisation, that organisation may have its own privacy policy governing its collection and use of information.

2. Information We May Collect

The information we process depends on how you interact with AiSAL, the features you use, the permissions you provide and how a Client has configured the Service.

It may include:

Account & Business Information

Information such as your name, organisation, job or business information, email address, telephone number, account details, subscription information, communications and billing or transaction information.

Conversation & Interaction Information

Information submitted or generated when interacting with AiSAL, including messages, questions, responses, conversation history, enquiries, lead information, feedback, uploaded materials and other information you choose to provide.

Device, Technical & Network Information

Information relating to the device, browser, connection and use of the Service, which may include IP address, device and browser characteristics, operating system, timestamps, session information, referring pages, usage activity, diagnostic information, approximate geographic information derived from technical data, and information concerning the network or organisation associated with a connection.

Interactive Features & Device Permissions

Certain AiSAL features may use capabilities available through your device or browser.

Depending on the feature you choose to use and permissions you provide, information processed may include audio, images or video, device or browser information, location information and other information generated through your interaction with that feature.

Where device or browser permission is required, access is subject to the applicable permission controls presented through the Service, browser or device.

You may generally manage device permissions through your browser or device settings. Disabling a permission may prevent the corresponding feature from operating correctly but does not prevent you from accessing portions of the Service that do not require that permission.

Information From Clients & Third Parties

Where AiSAL is deployed on another organisation's website or service, we may receive information supplied by that organisation, its systems, integrations or authorised service providers.

We may also receive information from payment processors, authentication providers, infrastructure providers, security services and other sources involved in operating or protecting the Service.

3. How We Use Information

Subject to applicable law, information may be processed for purposes including:

Where applicable law requires consent for a particular processing activity, we will rely upon consent or another lawful basis available under applicable law.

4. AI Processing

Information submitted through AiSAL may be processed using artificial intelligence, automated systems and technologies supplied or operated by AFG and its service providers.

This may include processing conversation content and related information to generate responses, maintain conversational context, provide requested functionality, detect misuse, evaluate system performance and operate, secure, develop and improve the Service.

AI systems may produce inaccurate or unexpected results. Users should not provide information through AiSAL that they are not authorised or willing to have processed for the applicable interaction.

Where AiSAL is operated on behalf of a Client, that Client is responsible for determining the information and instructions it provides to AiSAL and for its own compliance with applicable privacy requirements.

5. Security, Fraud & Abuse Prevention

AFG may process technical, interaction, device, network and other relevant information where reasonably necessary to identify, investigate or prevent security incidents, fraudulent activity, automated access, abuse, unauthorised use, attempts to interfere with the Service or activities that may threaten AFG, its technology, Clients or users.

Such information may also be used to investigate suspected violations of our Terms, protect AFG's intellectual property and technology, maintain records relating to security incidents and establish or defend legal rights.

6. How We Share Information

AFG may disclose information where reasonably necessary to operate, support, secure and develop the Service.

Recipients may include:

Service providers may process information on AFG's behalf or as otherwise permitted under their applicable agreements and legal obligations.

AFG may change service providers, infrastructure, AI models and technology providers as the Service develops.

We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to protect AFG, our Clients, users, technology, property or legal rights; investigate suspected unlawful activity; enforce agreements; or respond to lawful requests.

7. Business Transactions

If AFG, AiSAL or any relevant business or assets are involved in a merger, acquisition, investment, financing, restructuring, reorganisation, sale, transfer or similar corporate transaction, information associated with the Service may be disclosed or transferred as part of that transaction, subject to applicable law.

8. Aggregated & De-Identified Information

AFG may create and use aggregated, statistical or appropriately de-identified information derived from operation and use of the Service for purposes including analytics, research, security, performance measurement, product development and improvement.

Where information has been processed so that it is no longer considered personal data under applicable law, AFG may use that information for lawful business purposes.

9. International Processing

AiSAL operates using digital infrastructure and technology providers that may operate in multiple countries.

Information may therefore be processed, stored or transferred in jurisdictions outside the country from which you access AiSAL.

Where applicable law imposes requirements concerning international transfers or processing of personal data, AFG will take measures required by that law.

10. Data Security

AFG uses technical, organisational and administrative measures that we consider appropriate to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration or disclosure.

These measures may include access controls, encryption, monitoring, authentication and other safeguards appropriate to the nature of the Service and information processed.

However, no internet service, transmission method, storage system or security measure can guarantee absolute security. Accordingly, AFG cannot guarantee that information will never be accessed, disclosed, altered, lost or destroyed without authorisation.

11. Data Retention

AFG may retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or subsequently lawfully processed, including providing and operating the Service, maintaining business and transaction records, security and fraud prevention, dispute resolution, enforcement of agreements, development and improvement, and compliance with legal or regulatory obligations.

Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information, purpose of processing, contractual requirements, security considerations and applicable law.

AFG may delete, aggregate or anonymise information when it is no longer reasonably required, subject to applicable legal, operational, security and legitimate business requirements.

12. Cookies & Similar Technologies

AiSAL may use cookies, local storage, pixels and similar technologies where appropriate to operate and secure the Service, authenticate users, maintain sessions, remember preferences, understand usage, measure performance and improve functionality.

Some technologies may be provided by third-party service providers used in operating AiSAL.

Where consent or another specific mechanism is required by applicable law for particular cookies or similar technologies, AiSAL will implement the applicable requirements.

Browser settings may allow you to block or remove certain cookies. Doing so may affect functionality of the Service.

13. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law and your circumstances, you may have rights concerning your personal data, which may include rights to:

These rights are subject to applicable law, lawful exemptions, verification requirements and circumstances in which AFG may lawfully continue retaining or processing information.

A request does not necessarily require immediate deletion or cessation of processing where retention or processing remains permitted or required by law.

To make a privacy request, contact [email protected]. Please use "Data Request" in the subject line where possible.

AFG may request information reasonably necessary to verify identity, authority or the scope of a request before acting upon it.

14. Client Websites & Third-Party Services

AiSAL may be embedded within websites, applications or digital services operated by Clients or other third parties.

Those organisations may independently collect or process information and may have their own privacy policies and practices.

AFG is not responsible for the independent privacy practices, content or activities of third-party websites and services.

Where a Client determines the purposes for which information is collected through its deployment of AiSAL, the Client remains responsible for its applicable privacy notices, permissions, consents and legal obligations.

15. Children's Privacy

AiSAL is intended primarily for businesses and general audiences and is not designed for the intentional collection of personal information from children where parental or guardian consent would be legally required.

Clients deploying AiSAL are responsible for ensuring that their use of the Service is appropriate for their audience and complies with requirements applicable to children or minors.

If AFG becomes aware that information has been collected in circumstances requiring action under applicable law, AFG may take appropriate steps concerning that information.

16. Legal Requirements & Protection of Rights

AFG may preserve, access or disclose information where reasonably believed necessary or appropriate to:

17. Changes to This Privacy Policy

AFG may amend, update or replace this Privacy Policy from time to time as AiSAL, applicable requirements and our practices evolve.

The current version will be published through the AiSAL website or Service with its applicable update date.

Except where individual notification or additional consent is required by applicable law, AFG is not required to provide individual notification of changes.

Users are responsible for reviewing the current Privacy Policy periodically.

Where applicable law requires consent for a new or materially different processing activity, AFG will obtain such consent where required.

18. Governing Framework

This Privacy Policy is intended to operate consistently with applicable privacy and data-protection requirements, including those applicable to AFG in the State of Qatar.

Nothing in this Policy is intended to restrict rights that cannot lawfully be restricted or to impose obligations on AFG beyond those required by applicable law or expressly undertaken in this Policy.
